Sleek and Aerodynamic Design
The third-generation Leaf stands out with a bold and sleek appearance focused on aerodynamic efficiency. It boasts an impressive drag coefficient (Cd) of just 0.26 for the Japanese and U.S. markets — an excellent figure for a family car. The European version features unique rims and rearview mirror designs tailored specifically for that market.
Program Design Director Nobutaka Tase explained, “Every design element considers energy efficiency and aerodynamics. Even the panoramic roof plays an important role.”
Practical and Stylish Panoramic Roof
The new Leaf comes with a panoramic glass roof that opens up the interior and gives a feeling of ample air to the inside, particularly for rear passengers. The electric curtain moves with one touch. To prevent unwanted heat and keep the interior comfortable, it has an infrared reflective (IR) glass.
Spacious and Futuristic Interior
Built on the CMF-EV platform, the third-generation Leaf features a completely flat floor, creating a wider and more open cabin space. The interior combines futuristic design with practical functions, making the Leaf ready to lead Nissan’s electrification efforts.
