Positive Reception in Indonesia
Upon launch the Serena e-POWER has had very positive response from Indonesian consumers. Bima Arisantyo which is the Head of Sales & Product Planning at NMDI reports that the model is a mainstay of Nissan’s portfolio in Indonesia.
”Nissan Serena is one of our main players for the Indonesian market said Bima which also stresses the model’s importance to Nissan’s game in the country.”
Popularity of the Two-Tone Color Option
A major factor contributing to the Serena e-POWER’s popularity is the color options. While both one-tone and two-tone color schemes are available, the two-tone option has been by far the most popular. Bima shared that around 75% of customers are opting for the two-tone variant, while the one-tone version accounts for just 25% of sales.
However, due to high demand for the two-tone colors, there is a longer waiting period for those choosing this option. Bima explained that customers opting for the two-tone version may experience a 3-4 month waiting period due to increased global demand.

Imported Model (CBU) from Japan
The Serena e-POWER is a CBU (Completely Built-Up) unit imported from Japan. Because of this, deliveries to the Indonesian market are happening in stages to manage the volume. This staged delivery process also affects the availability of the two-tone color options.
