Jakarta – PT Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) will introduce a new model tomorrow, expanding its hybrid segment in Indonesia. The new launching follows Honda’s strong push into electrification, having launched the CR-V RS e:HEV and Accord RS e:HEV in 2023, and the Civic RS e:HEV at the start of this year.

Strong Commitment to Hybrid Technology
The unveiling shows Honda’s commitment to progressing towards environmentally friendly mobility in Indonesia. A local media GAIKINDO invitation indicates the new vehicle is described as a “familiar hybrid” with unique design features and advanced environmentally-friendly technology.
Likely to Be the HR-V RS e:HEV
While Honda hasn’t officially confirmed the model name, signs strongly point to the Honda HR-V RS e:HEV. This speculation is supported by a teaser video posted on the official @hondaisme Instagram account. The video shows the Honda emblem with a blue accent and a tagline:
“The Iconic Car You Love, Is Now a Hybrid”

Specifications Based on NJKB Data
Earlier records from the Jakarta Provincial Motor Vehicle Sales Value (NJKB) list a vehicle with the code RV58, assumed to be the HR-V RS e:HEV. Two variants under this code were registered: CVT ZZ and CVT ZZ HS.
Honda supplies its hybrid HR-V with a 1.5-liter Atkinson-cycle petrol engine, and a combination of an e-CVT transmission, and two electric motors. The hybrid powertrain system produces 129 hp and 253 Nm of torque.
