Jakarta, Indonesia – The GAC Aion V electric SUV is now officially assembled locally at PT National Assemblers (part of the Indomobil Group) in Cikampek, West Java. However, even with this local production, the price of the Aion V remains unchanged.

Why No Price Drop?
In many cases, carmakers lower prices once their vehicles are locally assembled under a Completely Knocked Down (CKD) scheme, since it reduces import duties compared to fully built-up (CBU) imports. But Aion Indonesia already used CKD-based pricing from the start, which is why the price remains steady.
The Aion V has been priced with the CKD scheme from day one. This supports EV regulations in Indonesia and keeps the product competitive

Current Aion V Pricing in Jakarta (OTR)

- Aion V Exclusive: Rp 449 million
- Aion V Luxury: Rp 489 million
Despite no price drop, the Aion V offers strong value thanks to its features and comprehensive after-sales support.

Use of Local Components
The locally assembled Aion V already uses several domestically produced components such as:
- Doors
- Electrical systems
- Window glass
However, the battery is still imported from China, as it’s a core EV component. Currently, the Aion V has achieved a 40% Domestic Component Level (TKDN), which qualifies it for government EV incentives in Indonesia.
Commitment to Local Growth
With support from GAC Group technology and Indomobil’s manufacturing expertise, Aion Indonesia aims to:
- Increase local component usage in the Aion V and future models
- Support Indonesia’s EV ecosystem through local production and competitive pricing
- Explore export potential in regional markets
