Toyota Indonesia saw a boost in sales at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2025 getting 2,728 Surat Pemesanan Kendaraan (SPK) during the 11-day event. This shows a 7.4% jump from last year’s numbers pointing to a rise in buyer interest for hybrid cars.

Hybrid models have prompted an increase in Toyota sales recently.
Among all of the models offered, the Kijang Innova Zenix hybrid garnered the most sales with 614 SPK, making it the best-selling Toyota model at the large-scale event IIMS 2025. The Toyota Avanza was in second place in the sales with 335 SPK, whilst the Toyota Rush came in third place with 216 SPK, rounding out the top five places, the Toyota Innova Zenix in gas and the Innova Reborn filled second and third, being 181 SPK and 174 SPK, respectively.
Toyota credits this sales growth to the growing demand for hybrid electrification. The 3% PPnBM tax break from the government has made the locally assembled Hybrid EVs more affordable, adding to customer interest even further.
Toyota Appreciates Market Enthusiasm
The Vice President Director of PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM), Henry Tanoto, expressed appreciation for the strong customer interest towards Toyota products, especially hybrid models. He remarked that government support and preparations for the Eid holiday saw an increase in sales for the automotive manufacturer.
“This achievement is a positive signal that the automotive industry, especially hybrids, will continue to grow in line with the trend of environmentally friendly mobility,” he said.
Toyota’s Hybrid technology gains positive feedback
Toyota’s hybrid cars, developed by the Beyond Zero initiative, continue to receive compliments for fuel efficiency, strong performance, and eco-friendly driving style. These cars were built on a completely new platform, which offers much better driving comfort, bump absorbency, and handling as well as safety.
Marketing Director of PT Toyota-Astra Motor (TAM), Anton Jimmi Suwandy, highlighted the increasing shift towards hybrid vehicles due to competitive pricing and growing environmental awareness.
“The IIMS 2025 event is also close to the Eid holiday, making it the right time for people to consider new mobility solutions while adopting an environmentally friendly lifestyle,” he explained.
