Jakarta – The Indonesian Football Association (PSSI) and Vietnamese car brand VinFast have officially established a partnership. The collaboration was announced at the Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) 2025, held at JIExpo, Kemayoran, Jakarta, on Saturday (22/2).

Strengthening Football and Automotive Synergy
The partnership between PSSI and VinFast will last for one year. As part of the deal, VinFast will conduct activation programs during home matches, strategically place its branding, and hold exclusive rights to promote its intellectual property in Indonesia.
VinFast’s assistance is pivotal in assisting the Indonesian National Team to prepare for its World Cup campaign. In addition to that, this partnership aids in the development of Indonesian football, not just as a game but also as a unifying symbol of the nation.
VinFast’s Growing Footprint in Indonesia
For VinFast, this alliance is one of its chances to bond with sports fans in Indonesia, which is among the most promising automobile markets in Asia.
“We are motivated by the Indonesian people’s strong passion for football, and we are highly excited about having a partnership in backing the Indonesian National Team, which is new to us,” VinFast Asia CEO Pham Sanh Chau said on Saturday (22/2).
“We wish that VinFast can join the Indonesian National Team in their quest to reach even higher heights and open the way for future triumphs,” he continued.

PSSI’s Perspective on the Collaboration
During the same event, PSSI Chairman Erick Thohir thanked VinFast for its support of Indonesian football. He stressed that such support could assist the National Team in gaining more recognition on the international stage.
“I welcome VinFast’s commitment to Indonesia and Indonesian football.”. They truly love Indonesian football. That’s why they sponsor the National Team, which dreams of competing in the 2026 World Cup,” said Erick Thohir.
