Mitsubishi Motors Corporation has declared that its latest hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) model of the Xforce compact SUV attained a five-star rating in the 2024 ASEAN New Car Assessment Program (ASEAN NCAP). The highest rating comes after the same award for the gasoline engine version earlier in 2024, highlighting Mitsubishi’s dedication to vehicle safety.

Advanced Safety Features
The Mitsubishi Xforce HEV is loaded with sophisticated safety features provided by Mitsubishi Motors Safety Sensing, a top system of Mitsubishi safety features. Six main safety functions are included:
- Adaptive Cruise Control, ACC
- Forward Collision Mitigation System, FCM
- Blind Spot Warning and Lane Change Assistant (BSW/LCA)
- Automatic Rear Cross Traffic Alert (RCTA)
- Automatic High Beam lights (AHB)
- Lead Vehicle Departure Notification (LCDN)
Features like these elevate the safety level. Our vehicle uses what’s called the RISE body structure, which is super strong. It damps energy on impact and prevents cabin from being crushed in accidents. Including six SRS airbags also adds to the safety for the people inside.

Performance and Drivability

Xforce HEV which made its debut in Thailand in March 2025 takes the model launched in Indonesia a year ago as a starting point. Mitsubishi’s high performance Plug In Hybrid EV technology forms the basis of its hybrid system. This new model offers significantly better fuel efficiency as well as environmental friendliness paired with powerful acceleration. Also added to this vehicle are Yaw Active Control (AYC) and seven drive modes to enhance drivability under fundamentally different conditions.
