Kawasaki is making significant strides in sustainable transportation by unveiling hydrogen-powered vehicles designed for diverse terrains. Recently, the company introduced two groundbreaking concepts: a hydrogen-fueled motorcycle and the Corleo, a four-legged robotic vehicle.

Hydrogen Motorcycle: New Era of Ride
In July 2024 Kawasaki made history, demonstrating at Suzuka 8 Hours the world’s first public show of a hydrogen powered motorcycle. Using a modified 998cc inline four cylinder supercharger engine designed to inject hydrogen directly into cylinders, this prototype motorcycle represents Kawasaki’s effort to power traditional bikes. Underneath this impressive looking Ninja H2 by Kawasaki there’s the well equipped chassis to carry hydrogen fuel storage tanks and equipment to supply them to the engine. This marks Kawasaki’s ambition as well to blend alternative fuels into standard design cycles.

Corleo: the Robotic Quadruped for Any Terrain
At the April 2025 Osaka Kansai Expo, Kawasaki showcased the Corleo, an hydrogen-based rideable robot horse. Integrating motorcycle mechanics and robotics technology into one body, this notion car offers all-terrain ride convenience. Packed with a 150cc hydrogen-burning motor that burns just water as a by-product, Corleo also comes complete with artificial balance aids, rubber terrain-adjusted hooves, and a rider-friendly dashboard outputting essential drive metrics. At conceptual level thus far, Kawasaki promised to come close to series production by around 2050.

Kawasaki’s Vision for a Bright Green Future
New ideas align with Kawasaki’s Vision 2030 as developed. Looking to develop solutions that reduce the environmental footprint, Kawasaki experiments now using hydrogen as fuel and hopes to deliver high performing motorcycles with reduced impact on the environment. The company goes beyond motorcycles and looks to new ideas. Vehicles like Corleo are strong hints visual demonstration of a greater commitment toward rethinking mobility across diverse contexts.
