MG Motor Indonesia has confirmed a strong position at Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) 2024, which runs from 22nd November to 1st December 2024 at ICE BSD in Tangerang. The exclusive previews are indeed the two presents MG will unveil on that day: the hybrid MG3 and the new, more premium G90 MPV. As explained by MG Motor Indonesia’s CEO, He Guowei (Alec), these models are meant not only to reflect the glory of MG innovation and flexibility but also provide public and media feedback before a possible launch in the Indonesian automotive market.
Models on Display: The MG3 Hybrid and G90 MPV
The MG3 Hybrid catches the eye, aimed at consumers wanting eco-friendly driving without sacrificing performance. Under its hood rests a 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder engine set with an electric motor. These cooperative elements make for a respectable 102 horsepower. The 1.83 kWh battery helps to energize this otherwise earth-friendly and fuel-frugal vehicle. It will provide consumers who are environmentally aware with a reliable and affordable hybrid model. While the MG3 Hybrid is still within the previewing stage, “We are eager to see how local audiences react to it,” Eva said.
The MG Motor Indonesia also introduced the G90, a luxury MPV concept car embodying high-end comfort and functionality. The MG G90 is proposed in two distinct engine variants: a 2.0-liter turbocharged gasoline engine offering 230 horsepower and a 2.0-liter turbo diesel engine offering moderate 120 horsepower. The G90 is aimed at all families and businesses looking for premium experience in their daily commutes or extended travels. This MPV, in fact, takes inspiration from the Maxus Mifa 9 flagship series offering elite comfort to passengers.

Unmatched Comfort and Luxury in the G90
The G90 isn’t just about powerful engines; it also offers a lavish experience for passengers. With spacious seating, especially for second-row passengers, the MG G90 incorporates luxury captain seats with built-in footrests, armrests, and adjustable digital controls. Each seat features a personal digital screen, enabling passengers to control ambient lighting, adjust ventilation settings, and even access massage functions. This design reflects MG’s commitment to comfort, convenience, and luxury, ensuring every ride is an experience.
Test Drives Available for GJAW Visitors
MG Motor Indonesia is working hard to make GJAW 2024 a memorable experience for all the visitors who come to see their stall. To further this cause, the company has managed test drives of the MG3 Hybrid and G90 for potential buyers and enthusiasts to get hands-on feel of these cars. He Guowei said: “We will allow consumers to drive it as well as the media. It is very important for us to get this feedback on these models and decide if we should bring the MG3 Hybrid and G90 to the Indonesian market.”
During test drives, visitors will have a chance to test the cars’ handling, comfort, and technology, bringing real-life feedback for MG to improve on in its future offerings in Indonesia.
