Jakarta – PT Neta Auto Indonesia (NAI) reportedly handed over the first 500 units of its much-awaited electric vehicle, the Neta X, to a few pre-submitters of Vehicle Order Letters (SPK). This is the first time PT Neta Auto Indonesia has showcased the Neta X at the 2024 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS).
Introduction of Neta X
The appetite and excitement for the Neta X had been at an all-time high even without an official price announcement at the GIIAS. Simultaneously, NAI took this opportunity to introduce a reservation system where the enthusiastic customers could book and pre-order their vehicles. The response was really good as the pre-booking received more than 500 consumers who sent in SPK.

Neta X Delivery Starts
NAI informs that it has started delivering the first 500 units to consumers, since its launch last month.
“The start of the delivery process for consumers is proof of the popularity of Neta X amongst the Indonesian automotive market, marking a new milestone for Neta in presenting the best electric vehicles,” said Alan Zhou, Vice President of Neta Auto Overseas, at the launch event of Neta X that was held in Jakarta.
Local Assembly and Manufacture of Neta X
Neta X units to be shipped to Indonesian consumers are locally assembled and manufactured within PT Handal Indonesia Motor’s assembly facility located in Pondok Ungu, Bekasi West Java. The best part of this is being locally manufactured and having the Domestic Content Level fulfilled at 44 percent.
This is also a proof that Neta’s local assembling partnership with local partners can create high-quality electric cars from local components to meet the government regulations. We surely won’t stop here as we are to keep presenting consumers in Indonesia with the best electric car and premium after-sales services, Alan added.
Pricing and Market Acceptance
Neta X is offered in two variants. First, the premium variant, and that is the Elite, IDR 428 million. Then, the Supreme, IDR 448 million On The Road (OTR) Jakarta.
Lower than Initial Projections
You see, these prices were quite interesting, shouted as low as IDR 460 million to IDR 490 million, by and large.
This is according to Jordy Angkawidjaja; Product Planning Manager, NAI, the official price was determined, after a comprehensive market research.
“In setting the price for this car, we first look at its market acceptance. So after GIIAS 2024, we ran so many surveys with consumers and dealers, and we feel that the price is now the best we can give,” concluded Jordy.
