Neta Auto to Start Neta X Production in Indonesia

The Neta X Electric SUV is now rolling off the production line in Indonesia, building on its global debut at the 2024 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show. This perhaps marks a grand moment for electric vehicles in Indonesia. Not only does the Neta X give the environmentally conscious consumer more choice, but it also further confirms Indonesia as the main manufacturing center of Neta Auto outside of China. Charging on a card, impressive specifications and forward-thinking technology take the Neta X up the ranks as it keeps moving forward with the lead in electric mobility in Indonesia.

First Production Outside China

Indonesia becomes the first international country to start manufacturing the Neta X, marking a very important landmark in the history of the Indonesian automotive industry and a new milestone on Neta Auto’s international expansion trajectory.

In production, Neta X collaborated with PT Handal Indonesia Motor and produced in Indonesia. The collaboration would not only cover the domestic order but also produce autos for export markets and demonstrate Indonesia’s growing position in the global EV sector.

Focus on local components and export potential

Neta Auto is confident on the potential of producing high-quality vehicles in Indonesia. Peter Zhang, Managing Director, Neta Auto Indonesia was firm on the use of local components as part of the requirements from the government and for supporting the local automotive industry.

Emphasis on local components will now form part of Neta Auto’s long-term plans given its quest to support the Indonesian economy at the same time expanding its international footprints. This too, will open avenues for greater EV sector coordination with local suppliers, thus further aiding Indonesia’s industrial growth.

Neta X Specs and Features

The Neta X is a five-door SUV designed to meet the needs of today’s driver, light, airy, and purposeful. At 4,619 mm long, 1,860 mm wide, and 1,628 mm tall, it is large enough for passengers and cargo alike. No doubt huge measurements like these are what make for such a comfortable cabin experience-mostly the appeal to families and road warriors.

Neta X accommodates an electric motor that delivers 160 HP with a flat torque of 210 Nm. The motors are therefore capable of delivering the intended power to ensure effective speed in both urban and highways comfort. There is a massive 63.56 kWh battery under the bonnet which can power for as long as 480 km on a single charge

Superior Charging Technology Features

Customers’ ease of comfort is supplemented by the DC Fast Charging feature on the Neta X for extended charging time periods. All this makes it easy for customers to top up the automobiles and move on, depending on their needs in daily commutes and long-distance travel. The car also features V2L technology, allowing it to power up exterior devices, thereby meaning the Neta X can even top-up outside devices.

Given that Neta X has not yet been officially launched, Neta Auto has already started taking pre-book orders since the public launch at GIIAS 2024. Benefits such as Lifetime Warranty and Free Wall Charging Station along with its installation to early buyers under this Pre-Book program do make the shift towards electric mobility even more attractive

Launch Date and Price

The estimated price of the Neta X is between IDR 460 million and 490 million; hence, it would be a competitive alternative in the growing Indonesian market of electric vehicles. Even though there is no confirmation for the official launch date, Neta Auto has announced that they will unveil the car in the near future before the Indonesian market
