Indomobil Expands Citroën EV Battery Service Stations Across Indonesia

PT Indomobil National Distributor recently opened a new Citroen Experience Centre in TB Simatupang, South Jakarta, and this is the latest move merely adding to better services as it caters to high-tier customers of Citroen in Indonesia. This center is built not only to enhance customer experience but also for the fast-emerging electric vehicle (EV) market.

Total 3S facilities

The outlet now stands with 3S facilities of Sales, Service, Spareparts. It is provided with the best possible facility so that it meets the standards fixed by the global giants Citroen. Various levels of needs in customers are thus satisfied and all things at one place are experienced by the customer. Head of Aftersales Department at PT Indomobil, Andre Oktavianus, said that this service has a level 2 status wherein the center can change EV batteries. This indeed indicates that the center can carry out vital maintenance operations of electric vehicles. Thus, the citizens of Indonesia need not worry about their favorite car, the Citroen e-C3.

Focus Electric Vehicle Battery Services

This Citroen Experience Center has one important feature, namely, electric vehicle services. Because electric cars are increasingly adopted in Indonesia, having a place that’s ready for battery replacement already takes giant strides. Andre further explained this: “Now all official Citroen services in Indonesia are pursued to enter Level 2.” Yet, that level has to be entered into with caution and demands special machinery as well as heavy training.

Currently, the centre is not focused only on battery replacement but is already looking forward to some future. The potential for the fulfilment of Level 3 status, which actually involves replacing EV battery cells, remains uncertain terms. “Level 3, which is to replace electric car battery cells, is currently not available in Asia; most of them are still in Europe,” Andre explained. Currently, the company in Indomobil is actively working to obtain all permits and training for the potential provision of wider services in this area.

Expansion of Citroen Network

The new outlet in TB Simatupang forms the fourth Citroen Experience Center in Indonesia, following successful openings in Jl. MT Haryono, Jl. Halim Perdana Kusuma, and Pantai Indah Kapuk. Each center is integral to the company’s broader strategy on how to increase Citroen presence in Indonesia, making quality service more accessible to customers across the region.

There will be a large new building occupying about 1,000 square meters and strategically located at Jl RA Kartini II-S Kav. 7, Pondok Pinang, Kebayoran Lama, South Jakarta. It is equipped with many facilities to provide convenience to customers, such as an EV charging station, which also supports the recharging operation for Citroen e-C3 owners. The center will also have a floor for storing vehicles for business efficiency and accessibility to customers.

After the opening of the Citroen Experience Center in South Jakarta, Indomobil expects to further bond with its customers through excellent product superiority and brand community.
