Wuling Air EV Lite Price Drop in Indonesia

Jakarta – To accelerate its sales, the Indonesian car manufacturer Wuling Motors has reduced the price of its Wuling Air EV Lite Standard Range electric vehicle. The firm follows the launch of Air EV Lite Long Range in Jakarta with an On The Road (OTR) tag of IDR 190 million.

Price Reduced Alert

Wuling Motors Marketing Operation Director Liu Yan confirmed that the price of the Wuling Air EV Lite Standard Range has become cheaper, below IDR 180 million. “The Air EV Lite with a mileage of 200km in the standard range category was reduced a little bit below IDR 180 million,” said Liu during the Wuling Media Briefing at Jakarta.

The current offer is based on the recent updates issued from the official Wuling website. As such, the price of the Wuling Air EV Lite Standard Range now stands at IDR 179.1 million OTR Jakarta, with government VAT incentives applied. It is previously quoted at IDR 190 million.

Competitive Pricing Strategy

Wuling’s move was to enhance competitiveness over other competing electric cars of the same class. For instance, Air EV Lite Standard Range is considered cheaper compared to its nearest competitor, Seres E1, currently priced at IDR 189 million OTR Jabodetabek as of September 2024.

Air EV Lite Standard Range vs Long Range Price Comparison

In contrast, the two variants of Air EV considerably vary in price. Wuling Air EV Lite Long Range for IDR 190 million, while the Air EV standard range and long range are more or less the same with a slight difference of IDR 10 million. Despite all these, the lone characteristic that differentiates between these two models varies only with the capacity of the battery and the driving range.
