Collaboration with GAC
Honda P7 is the outcome of an alliance between Honda and Chinese auto manufacturer GAC, as part of Honda’s Ye brand line. The move is aimed at meeting the rising demand for electric vehicles (EVs) in China. However, Honda dropped the plan to use the Ye brand name and instead both the P7, which is made by GAC, and Dongfeng-produced S7 will bear the Honda brand name.
Performance and Tech Details
The Honda P7 is presented in two variants which do very well in terms of what they offer:
- Base Model: In the base version we see one electric motor at the rear axle. That motor puts out 268 hp and 420 Nm of torque. Also featured is an 89.8 kWh ternary NMC battery which reports a range up to 650 km.
- AWD Version: In the all wheel drive (AWD) version of the P7 we see improved performance which produces 469 hp and 770 Nm of torque. Also that model shares the same battery capacity but does 0 to 100 in just 4.6 seconds. Range here is a little less at 630 km.
Also both versions present very much the same in terms of size which is at 4,750 mm in length, 1,930 mm in width, and 1,625 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,930 mm.

For entertainment we see support for Apple CarPlay, Baidu CarLife, and Huawei HiCar. Also the Honda Sensing ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance System) is present which includes adaptive cruise control and lane keeping assist.
Pricing and Availability
The Honda P7 is put forward at a competitive price, we see the entry level model at 199,900 yuan which is about IDR 458 million and the top of the range at 249,900 yuan which is to the tune of IDR 572 million. Also out is its twin the Honda S7 which begins at 259,900 yuan and goes up to 309,900 yuan which is to say roughly between IDR 595 million to IDR 710 million for that range, thus the P7 is the better buy despite that they are basically the same car which has a different design.
