Jakarta – PT Chery Sales Indonesia (CSI) has unveiled its newest state-of-the-art car platform, Chery Super Hybrid (CSH). It integrates Super Hybrid Electric Vehicle (Super HEV) and Electric Vehicle (EV) technologies to provide ultimate performance and excellent fuel economy.
The CSH platform is like a Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) but with a different brand name to facilitate easier recall by consumers and car enthusiasts around the world. When the platform was launched, CSI boasted that it could deliver a remarkable fuel economy of 76 km/liter.

Key Highlights of Chery Super Hybrid (CSH)
- Excellent Fuel Efficiency: Attains a maximum of 76 km/liter, which is among the most fuel-efficient hybrid technologies.
- Local Assembly in Indonesia: Three Chery models with the CSH platform will be locally assembled this year.
- Excellent Performance: The Tiggo 9, which has CSH in China, can produce 900 Nm of torque and go from 0-100 km/h in 5.4 seconds.
- Demonstrated Long-Distance Capability: The Tiggo 8 CSH drove a 1,186 km distance from Jakarta to Bali without refueling or recharging.
- Fifth-Generation Platform: First conceived in 2001, the CSH platform has been continually improved and is now on its fifth generation.
CSH Platform: Advanced Technology Overview
The fifth-generation CSH platform is powered by the Acteco Engine H4J15, which has a thermal efficiency of up to 44.5%. It is also embedded with Steoless Super Hybrid DHT, offering a remarkable mechanical efficiency of 98.5%.
For battery support, the CSH platform uses lithium iron phosphate batteries with IP standards, ensuring high safety and durability.

Chery Models with CSH Technology
According to Zeng Shuo, Country Director of CSI, three Chery models will feature the CSH platform and will be assembled locally in Indonesia. Models such as the Tiggo 8 (RWD and AWD versions) and Tiggo 9 are expected to be launched in Indonesia this year, although the official launch date has not been disclosed.
Future Prospects and Market Strategy
CSI aims to introduce CSH technology in various models to offer Indonesian consumers an option that is both powerful and fuel-efficient. The platform is designed to meet the growing demand for hybrid vehicles while maintaining environmental sustainability.
“Today’s event is about introducing the CSH platform, not launching a product. Specifications will be released when the models are launched,” said Zeng Shuo in Senayan, Jakarta, on March 24, 2025.
