Jakarta – PT Sokonindo Automobile, DFSK Brand Holder Agent (APM), will bring in the Seres E3 electric vehicle to Indonesia. The E3 will join the earlier launched Seres E1, solidifying Seres’ position in Indonesia’s EV market.

- Introduction of Seres E3: The Seres E3 was introduced to the media at the event “A Special Evening: Iftar & Journey into the Future 2025” on March 24, 2025, in Jakarta. The vehicle, still wrapped in camouflage, will make its public debut at the Periklindo Electric Vehicle Show (PEVS) 2025 next month.
- Luxury Variant Only: The Seres E3 will be offered in only one variant, the Luxury trim, catering to Indonesian consumers who prefer higher-end models when purchasing new cars.

Home Charging Included for Free

With every purchase of the Seres E3, Sokonindo Automobile will provide free home charging equipment. This will allow users to conveniently charge their vehicles without waiting in line at Public Electric Vehicle Charging Stations (SPKLU).
- Home Charging Cost: Estimated between IDR 1,700–1,900 per kWh.
- SPKLU Charging Cost: Around IDR 2,400 per kWh.
- Additional Discount: Charging after 10:00 PM will get a 30% discount from PLN.
Seres E3 vs DFSK Glory E3
Sokonindo previously introduced the DFSK Glory E3 at GIIAS 2019 when EVs were less popular. However, the Seres E3 is different in several ways:
- Exterior Changes: The Seres E3 features a redesigned front bumper and is slightly longer than the Glory E3.
- Software Upgrade: The E3 has an upgraded monitoring system and software, enhancing its technological features.

Seres E3 Based on LanDian E3
- Platform Sharing: The Seres E3 is based on the LanDian E3 platform. In some markets, the same vehicle is sold under the DFSK or LanDian brand name, while Indonesia will receive it under the Seres E3 label.
- Exterior Similarities: Despite being wrapped in camouflage during the media preview, the design closely resembles the LanDian E3.
Locally Produced in Indonesia
- Production Location: Seres E3 will be locally produced at the Sokonindo Automobile factory in Cikande, Serang, Banten. The factory, inaugurated on November 28, 2017, spans 20 hectares and has a maximum production capacity of 50,000 vehicles annually.
- Production Trial: The Seres E3 production trial has already begun, and investments have been made to upgrade factory facilities.
- Export Plans: Seres E3 will not only serve the domestic market but will also be exported to ASEAN countries with right-hand drive configurations.
