BYD Organized Mall-to-Mall Exhibitions in Medan and Semarang, Indonesia

PT BYD Motor Indonesia continues to bring innovative electric vehicles closer to the people of Indonesia with its Mall-to-Mall exhibitions. Having been creating ripples in major cities since January 2024 in Jakarta, Bandung, and Makassar, the brand now brings its world-class technology closer to Medan and Semarang. The exhibit will be held simultaneously in both cities on 14th to 17th November 2024. This will give the local public an exciting opportunity to get close and familiar with BYD’s electric cars.

Reach Expansion to Medan and Semarang

Following the success of previous events, BYD Motor Indonesia further showcases its commitment toward making environmentally friendly mobility accessible all over the country. Having a steeply increasing interest in electric vehicles, the company believes Medan and Semarang may well hold potential for the adoption of sustainable technology.

According to an official statement by PT BYD Motor Indonesia Public & Government Relations, the exhibitions aim to bring electric vehicle innovation closer to consumers in North Sumatra and Central Java. As quoted by Ari in a release, “The people’s response was very enthusiastic in the previous exhibition so we become more aggressive to target and reach more public sectors in Indonesia. And by choosing the cities of Medan and Semarang, we feel that both cities have much potential to absorb environmentally friendly vehicles, and developing electric vehicle innovation to be close to the consumers,” said the statement.

What to Expect at the Festival?

The exhibition will feature BYD’s electric vehicles as highly advanced in dynamic displays and interactive experiences.

Medan Exhibition

The event is held at Deli Park Podomoro Mall, and the booth of this event is as big as 388.45 m2, designed uniquely to depict local characteristics. An impressive range of BYD electric vehicles will be on exhibit, among which are:

• BYD M6
• BYD SEAL
• BYD ATTO 3
• BYD DOLPHIN

Static displays will be supported by test drive sessions for the BYD DOLPHIN, BYD SEAL, BYD M6, and BYD ATTO 3, giving attendees the chance to experience the performance, comfort, and technology of BYD’s electric cars.

Exhibition at Paragon Semarang :

This exhibition will take place at Paragon Mall in Semarang, 300 m² booth, with modern concepts from the dynamism of the city. The momentum from the participation of BYD Indonesia in GIIAS Semarang at the end of October 2024 continues at Paragon Mall, where BYD’s electric vehicle lineup and technology can once again be discovered by the people.

“Medan and Semarang are the strategic cities for us to continue the expansion of BYD’s reach in Indonesia. Those cities have gigantic potential in the development of electric vehicles, as people in the area are becoming more aware of the needs to protect the environment and efficiency in mobility,” said PT BYD Motor Indonesia Public Relations.
