BYD Group Indonesia was able to successfully register remarkable performance at the 2025 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS), which was conducted from February 13–23, 2025. During the 11-day event, BYD and Denza received a total of 2,400 unit orders, representing a remarkable success in the Indonesian electric vehicle (EV) industry.

Increased Interest in BYD’s Electric Cars
Eagle Zhao, President Director of PT BYD Motor Indonesia, emphasized that this success indicates the growing interest of Indonesian consumers towards electric vehicle technology and innovation.
“As one of the leaders in the market for electric vehicles in Indonesia, we highly value the encouraging sales success during IIMS,” Zhao added.
He also pointed out that the milestone reaffirms customer confidence in BYD’s EVs, especially since the company is striving towards green and smart mobility solutions.
BYD Sealion 7 and Denza D9 Grab Attention

Among the models showcased, the BYD Sealion 7 stood out as one of the most eye-catching vehicles. However, BYD has not yet disclosed specific sales figures for the electric SUV during IIMS 2025. Similarly, Denza D9, a luxury electric MPV, was also in the spotlight, though exact sales numbers remain undisclosed.

BYD welcomed over 3,100 visitors during the event, with the BYD Sealion 7 proving to be the top favorite among visitors. Moreover, over 1,000 visitors took test drives of the Denza D9, feeling firsthand the luxury comfort and performance of the battery electric MPV.
