The World Car of the Year 2025 winners have now been announced officially. These award-winning cars were chosen by a group of 96 leading automobile journalists from 30 nations, who voted in a secret ballot after carefully examining each of the nominated cars.

World’s Best Car of the Year 2025: Kia EV3
Kia EV3 has been named the World Car of the Year 2025 which also sees the company extend its run of consecutive wins to two. This achievement puts into picture Kia’s great standing for innovation and quality in the global auto industry. Also, Kia has now won the title three times:

Kia’s President and CEO Ho Sung Song is proud of this achievement. He notes that EV3 is a display of Kia’s global lead in sustainability of which we are also seeing in our focus toward user centered innovation.

Selection of criteria for World Car Awards
For a vehicle to win the World Car of the Year it must:
- Be produced in a run of at least 10,000 units per year
- Be in price range below that of luxury cars in its primary markets
- Be available in at least two of the main markets which may include China, Europe, India, Japan, Korea, Latin America, and the US
- Be sold on two different continents between January 1, 2024 to March 30, 2025
