Jakarta, Indonesia – Aion’s which is doing well in the Indonesian market has put out word of a change in the release date for the Aion V electric car. We apologize to our customers for the delay and we can report that we will have made up the time by end of June 2025.
On Wednesday, May 14, 2025, Aion Indonesia’s CEO Andy Ciu issued a public statement. He thanked customers for their patience and expressed hope for their continued support during the delivery delay.
“We sincerely apologize for the delay in delivering the Aion V. We truly appreciate the patience of our customers and guarantee that the delivery process will be completed as soon as possible,” said Andy Ciu.

Aion Indonesia will present a compensation of IDR 100,000 per day to affected customers which will begin in July 2025 until delivery of the vehicle. This compensation applies to customers who placed orders between November 2024 and the end of February 2025, especially those who have already paid in full.
Locally Assembled GAC Aion V to Strengthen EV Ecosystem
Aion Indonesia has confirmed that Aion V units will be delivered using the Completely Knocked Down (CKD) method. These vehicles will be assembled locally. This step is part of Aion’s long-term plan to build a sustainable electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia. The strategy also includes improving product quality and after-sales service.
“We are confident that with continuous improvements in product quality and after-sales support, the Aion V will become the preferred electric vehicle choice for Indonesian consumers,” added Andy Ciu.

Aion V Variants and Pricing
The Aion V was first introduced at the 2024 Gaikindo Jakarta Auto Week (GJAW) in November 2024. Later, at the 2025 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) in February, Aion officially announced the pricing details for this model.
The Aion V is available in two variants:
- Exclusive variant with a driving range of 500 km, priced at Rp449 million (on-the-road Jakarta price).
- Premium variant with an extended driving range of 600 km, priced at Rp489 million (on-the-road Jakarta price).
