48 Hours Under Seawater – A Tough Battery Test
Chery openly submerged the TIGGO 8 CSH’s lithium iron phosphate (Li-Po) battery in seawater continuously for 48 hours at PIK 2, Jakarta to conduct the test, simulating extreme weather conditions and tropical conditions (high rain, and flooding) in Indonesia.
This was an international event and not just a local act. This test was part of Chery’s global safety campaign “Mission Impossible” and Indonesia was chosen to be first international site for this extreme battery test. From the beginning the event was noticed on an international level, with media persons coming from Malaysia and Thailand.
