The MJI celebrated the 45th anniversary of the world-famous Mercedes-Benz G-Class by participating in the eight-day memorable tour from Jakarta to Bali on the East Java route. Tying in with the 19th National Jamboree (Jamnas) of MB Club INA, it was the kind of event where enthusiasts enjoyed the ride through off-roading, cultural exploration, and charity activities.
We are grateful for the protection we received throughout the journey, enabling us to complete the trip without significant obstacles.
Heman, Chairman of the Committee
Kick-Off of the Happening Adventure
The group of 50 Mercedes-Benz G-Class left Jakarta on the 21st of September 2024 to take up the challenge on a long, very exciting ride to Bali. The participants took the route through the province of East Java, giving them the opportunities to see several landscapes and terrains that proved challenging.
It was meant to be a celebration of the meaning of power, reliability, and luxury for 45 years with the Mercedes-Benz G-Class. The adventure also promised like-minded enthusiasts an opportunity to share their passion for the iconic SUV and develop camaraderie within the G-Class community.

Sponsors and Activities Along the Way
Sponsored by PT Pertamina (Persero) and BNI, the eight-day fun run had been chock-full of a variety of activities that test a person’s limits as well as provide good rewards. Among them would be an off-road experience where one gets the opportunity to push vehicles on rugged and unpredictable terrain inside Kalijompo’s rubber plantations at Jember, East Java.
In addition to off-roading, Mercedes Jip Indonesia also undertakes social service activities that reach out to the communities. While en route, they provide essential and cash aid to a resident as an example of giving back to the community.
The Off-Road Adventure at Meru Betiri National Park
On the second day of this trip, participants conducted the off-road trip to Meru Betiri National Park. The routes here are very tough, and the dramatic scenery has made this one of the most memorable ones. The journey across the park has been a memorable moment in itself wherein participants passed through the dense forest, which was full of spectacular views.
The trip also led the attendees to Bande Alit Beach, where they created a “45” formation on the beach, a symbolic gesture to pay tribute to the 45th anniversary of the G-Class. This formation represents the spirited celebrating and being one under the owners of the Mercedes-Benz G-Class.
A Mix of Adventure, Culture, and Celebrations
Apart from off-roading and all the explorations of nature, the tour also had ample inputs of local cultures. People were able to experience the local cultures, which added a special flavor to the tour. The convoy finally arrived in Bali to participate in the 19th Jamnas of the Mercedes-Benz Club Indonesia at Nusa Dua.
It is this blend of adventure, charitable work, and cultural immersion that created an exclusive experience among all participants in the event. According to Heman, Chairman of the Committee, “Alhamdulillah, thanks to Allah SWT, who always protected us, so that during the trip, we did not meet significant obstacles.”
The tour was not only about the cars but also made new friends, respected the local cultures, and celebrated the community spirit that defined Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts. The gathering at the 19th Jamnas MB Club INA brought together members from all parts of the country, further solidifying the idea of togetherness and passion for Mercedes-Benz G-Class.
Supporting the Community and Leaving an Impact
The giving-back aspect of the events is one of the primary aspects covered. As the journey goes on, participants set aside some time to give back to local communities; they gave them the basic necessities as well as financially supported some. These social service activities were carried out with a view toward leaving a positive impact on the communities on the way.
This emphasis on social responsibility made the event not only one of adventure and celebration but empathy and community support as well. For Mercedes Jip Indonesia, the journey was just as much a celebration of the G-Class as it was about ‘do good.’
