KUMPARAN — At the GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) held from July 18-28, 2024, Mazda showcased its refreshed compact sport utility vehicle (SUV), the Mazda CX-3. This year’s exhibition highlighted the newly updated CX-3 with significant enhancements to both the interior and exterior, appealing to automotive enthusiasts and potential buyers alike.
Mazda displayed two variants of the CX-3: the 1.5 Sport and the 2.0 Pro. Both models feature a host of superior features and advanced technologies, cementing Mazda’s reputation as a leader in the compact SUV market. The Japanese car manufacturer has meticulously designed these variants to offer both aesthetic appeal and functional excellence.
Exterior Enhancements
The 2.0 Pro variant stands out with its two-tone glossy black roof, a design choice that adds a touch of sophistication and modernity. The most noticeable exterior feature of the 2.0 Pro is its glossy black cladding, which gives the SUV a bold and aggressive look. Complementing this is the grille, adorned with black chrome accents, which enhances the vehicle’s sleek appearance.
Both variants ride on 18-inch wheels, featuring a new design that adds to the overall stylish look of the CX-3. These wheels are not only aesthetically pleasing but also engineered for optimal performance and stability.
Interior Upgrades
Stepping inside the 2.0 Pro variant, occupants are greeted with seats upholstered in a luxurious combination of leather and suede, accented with an Arrow pattern. This attention to detail extends to the door trim and dashboard panels, which are covered in leather with dot pattern accents, offering a premium feel. The AC grille in the 2.0 Pro features a sophisticated copper and black color scheme, adding to the interior’s elegant ambiance.
In contrast, the 1.5 Sport variant boasts leather-covered seats and suede-covered door trim and dashboard panels. The AC grille in this variant features a striking red color with silver accents, providing a sporty and dynamic look.
Advanced Features
Both CX-3 variants come equipped with a sunroof, auto-dimming interior mirror, auto headlamp, and auto wiper, ensuring convenience and comfort for the driver. The inclusion of G-vectoring control enhances driving comfort by adjusting engine torque when cornering, thereby reducing the gravitational force felt by passengers and drivers.
For safety, Mazda has integrated i-activsense, which includes Mazda radar cruise control, lane departure warning, smart brake support, blind spot monitoring, and rear cross traffic monitoring. These features ensure that the driver and passengers are always safe and secure on the road.
Performance
Under the hood, the 1.5 Sport variant is powered by a SKYACTIV-G 1.5L engine, producing 111 PS (horse strength) and 144 Newton-meters (Nm) of torque. This engine offers a balance of performance and fuel efficiency, making it ideal for city driving.
The 2.0 Pro variant, on the other hand, is equipped with a more powerful SKYACTIV-G 2.0L engine, delivering 149 PS and 195 Nm of torque. This engine provides a more exhilarating driving experience, catering to those who seek more power and responsiveness from their vehicle.
Color Options
Mazda offers a range of color options for both variants. The 1.5 Sport variant is available in seven colors: Soul Red Crystal Metallic, Machine Gray Metallic, Polymetal Gray Metallic, Platinum Quartz Metallic, Snowflake White Pearl, Jet Black Mica, and the newest addition, Aero Gray Metallic.
The 2.0 Pro variant comes in four color options: Soul Red Crystal Metallic, Polymetal Gray Metallic, Aero Gray Metallic, and Platinum Quartz Metallic. These color choices allow buyers to personalize their CX-3 according to their preferences.
Pricing
With the new enhancements, the Mazda CX-3 1.5 Sport is priced at IDR 399.9 million, while the 2.0 Pro is available for IDR 495.5 million. These prices reflect the advanced features and premium quality that Mazda offers with these new variants.
