The event unites users of Yamaha’s Maxi automatic scooters, otherwise known as skutiks, showing how much the rider values his machine.

The latest stops in the Maxi Yamaha Day 2024 were seen in Sambas, West Kalimantan. This occurred on Sep 14-15, 2024, with over 350 participants converging at Bahari Jawai Beach. This place has all the essence of sweetness and shaded coconut trees, pristine white sand, and granite rock formations, perfect and breathtakingly visual.

Enthusiasm Among Maxi Riders is Unmatched

A known popular rendezvous in Indonesia to get into the fray, the Maxi Yamaha Day events have over time attracted passionate participants in high spirits. According to Ardyanto, Sales Director of PT Aneka Makmur Sejahtera, one of the prominent Yamaha dealers in West Kalimantan, their commitment has increased with time.

The enthusiasm of the participants every year is fantastic. I often find that many participants will travel hundreds of kilometres just to go on a long-distance tour for this event called Maxi Yamaha Day, said Ardyanto. The camaraderie of Maxi owners, accompanied by shared experiences, accounts for the big attraction of the event.

Long Distance Tour As Big Challenge Thrills Attendees in Maxi Yamaha Day

On this tour, the adventure for the participants started with a long-distance tour of over 750 kilometres. The riders began their journey from Melawi, traveling on the Central Kalimantan Cross-Country Road, known for tough road conditions, with steep inclines, sharp bends, muddy patches, and rocky terrain.

Despite these challenges, the cyclists showed much resilience and navigated winding and hazardous roads with the greatest determination. One of the greatest milestones of their ride was the city considered equatorial; that is, Pontianak. There, the tour-joining participants were received by other Maxi Yamaha Day participants who had also gone to Sambas for the occasion.

Creating Unity Among Maxi Owners

This journey continued, as the participants crossed Sungai Pinyuh and Singkawang. Many more citizens joined the entourage of Maxi Yamaha Day, which brings the team to Sambas with a good amount of Maxi enthusiasts joining them in the festivities of the weekend.

It was at Bahari Jawai Beach, where participants were welcomed by soft white sand and the soothing songs of ocean waves. More so, it was a special reuniting for all the NMAX Tour Boemi Nusantara participants who had just completed a quite challenging 550-kilometer journey from Pontianak to Sambas, thereby creating the feeling of accomplishment and bonding at the event.

Being an extension of the highly successful concept, “Ride & Camp,” it opens the participants to the unique experience of camping outdoors with fellow riders.

This allowed them to show off their favorite scooters as they shared personal stories about their rides and how well the scooter performed on difficult terrains

The excitement surrounding Maxi Yamaha Day 2024 doesn’t end in Sambas. Yamaha had already scheduled the next editions of the event in Bandung and Medan, on September 21-22. The events are bound to attract even more Yamaha enthusiasts.
