Fast-Growing Community
The Indonesian Electric Car Community, nicknamed Koleksi, grew rapidly across Indonesia since its inception and had more than 200 active members. Most of the 100+ members (more than 90%) live in Jabodetabek area, which includes Banten and Bandung, and it is spread across a variety of electric vehicle brands and models. Indeed, Koleksi was the first and biggest users association for EVs ever formed in Indonesia for advocating energy in transport.
Koleksi became one of the leading powers in the wake of the EV movement in Indonesia, although still in its relative infancy. It brings together owners of electric vehicles from very diverse backgrounds with working toward a common goal: a greener, more sustainable future for Indonesia’s transportation network.
Official Recognition and Support
One of the pride achievements for Koleksi is that it’s recognized by the Indonesian Motor Association, which gives great credibility to support the community as the leader association of electric vehicles in Indonesia. For example, acquiring that recognition from the IMI endorses Koleksi further in its mission to accelerate the adoption of EVs and develop an irreplaceable stronghold in the development of Indonesia’s electric vehicle ecosystem.
Program Innovations Leading to Impact
Koleksi not only did grow in numbers but, importantly, engaged active steps with key stakeholders from different sectors. Their programs are legal, technological, educational, and environmental literacy connecting collaborations with the public and private sectors.
As part of its efforts to increase environmental sustainability, Koleksi has been running a number of impactful programs. These include awareness campaigns with regard to the proper usage of clean and green energy and responsible waste management, especially in handling the electronic e-waste for proper disposal.
Key Milestone – The 3rd Anniversary Celebration
Koleksi marked its 3rd anniversary with a grand celebration at Ibis Style Hotel, BSD, Tangerang last Sunday. The event became a call to all stakeholders of the EV industry to join the green movement in Indonesia. In fact, the theme, “Small Step, Big Impact,” said just one step was enough to shift the sense of changing the environment.
Held simultaneously with the anniversary, the first National Conference (Munas) of Koleksi was convened wherein new leaders were elected for the term 2024-2027. This national assembly has expressed the growth of the community and its urgency to push for stronger leadership in the coming years.
Partnership with the Government and Private Sector
Koleksi further collaborates with government institutions and private enterprises. The initiatives pursued by the community will be aligned with the sustainability objectives at the national and corporate levels. This is a strictly required move for widespread penetration of electric vehicles in Indonesia. It includes interaction with policymakers to force favorable regulations or policies concerning the use of EVs, hence preparing the environment for electric vehicle adoption.
They also partner with automobile companies, green energy providers, and waste management companies to ensure that what they do goes far beyond the use of the car. It is a step toward integrated system supporting sustainable transport notion as well as responsible resource use.
Road to Success-The Road to the Greener Future
At three years of solid progress, Koleksi has already made great strides in the adoption of electric vehicles in Indonesia, and things are picking up now as community growth and impact accelerate by building partnerships and creating educational programs for the promotion of sustainable energy usage.
Accordingly, Koleksi will further advocate policies that promote the EV industry and collaboration between the government, private sector, and the general public. Their long-term vision is to “get more people onto the roads with great vehicles that propel the country toward a greener future smoothly.”
