In 2024, Lexus Indonesia’s sales will be nearly entirely composed of electrified vehicles, reflecting the strong reception of these models within Indonesia’s luxury car market. This shift towards electrified vehicles has also significantly contributed to a 50 percent reduction in carbon emissions, demonstrating Lexus’ impact on environmental sustainability.
Launch of the All-New LBX
To maintain its leadership in the electrified vehicle market, Lexus Indonesia launched several new models at GIIAS 2024, including the much-anticipated All-New LBX. Bansar Maduma, General Manager of Lexus Indonesia, highlighted the brand’s ongoing commitment to luxury and innovation during the launch event.
“Lexus has a proud history of pushing the boundaries to continually evolve the concept of luxury. Not only by creating desirable and attractive products, but also by redefining the ownership experience as a whole,” said Maduma. He continued, “Lexus’ latest breakthrough this time, we present through The All-New LBX, Lexus Breakthrough Crossover.”
Pricing and Variants of the All-New LBX
The All-New LBX, available in two variants, offers a blend of luxury and performance at an accessible price point. The variants and their on-the-road (OTR) Jakarta prices are as follows:
- All-New LBX Luxury: IDR 895 million
- All-New LBX Sport: IDR 942 million
Priced under IDR 1 billion, the All-New LBX is designed to cater to a broad spectrum of luxury car enthusiasts. This model is the first to feature Lexus’ Grading Option, allowing customers to choose from various themes and characteristics. Additionally, the Bespoke variant offers further customization, providing a personalized luxury experience.
Expansion of Lexus’ Electrified Lineup
Alongside the All-New LBX, Lexus Indonesia also introduced refreshed versions of the New Lexus UX, including the UX 300h and UX 300e. A new variant of the NX model, the Lexus NX 450h+, was also unveiled. These introductions are part of Lexus’ strategy to expand their electrified vehicle offerings, which include Self-Charging Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEV), Plug-in Hybrid Vehicles (PHEV), and Battery Electric Vehicles (BEV).
