Surabaya – Anticipating a competitive automotive market in Indonesia in the coming years, PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) has planned to launch several new cars by the end of 2024. Strikingly, the year is quickly coming to an end, and yet, HMID plans to release three models more in Indonesia.
The announcement was made at the 2024 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show, GIIAS, in Surabaya, and Fransiscus Soerjopranoto, HMID’s Chief Operating Officer or COO, provided a hint on the releases that will take place. “A minimum of three models. There are hybrids, cars with internal combustion engines ICE, and electric vehicles, he stated.
New Hyundai Models: A Glimpse into What to Expect
Until today, there have been five new Hyundai model launches in 2024: Hyundai Ioniq 5 Batik Edition, Creta Alpha, Palisade XRT, All-New Kona Electric, and the Ioniq 5 N. However, and with this year closing soon, Hyundai Indonesia has given some hints for three more models yet to be launched. By speculation, that may include the trio of Hyundai Tucson, Santa Fe, and Venue.
While Fransiscus Soerjopranoto-cum-Soerjo himself has avoided confirmation of such speculation, he has been teasing the market with statements to suggest that more exciting things are in store. “As I said, many of the models that we will bring in are still under study. Yes, just wait,” he said. “Don’t worry, we are still bringing new products. There will be some in the near future,” he continued.
GIIAS Surabaya 2024 Highlights

The Ioniq 5 N is fitted with the latest features to enhance the driving experience.
