PT Hyundai Motor Indonesia (HMID) today launches its latest-generation SUV in Indonesia, yet another milestone in the company’s commitment to delivering ‘more premium and technologically advanced’ vehicles for Indonesia. The model is the second Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) that has entered Indonesian soil after the All-New Santa Fe.
A Bold New Design and Premium Features:
PT HMID’s CEO, Ju Hun Lee, said that the all-new Hyundai SUV would meet the demand in Indonesia with its striking exteriors, sophisticated engine, and driving pleasure. “The new SUV will satisfy customers with premium exteriors, distinct engines, and exceptional driving experience in Indonesia,” said Lee in a launch event held on Thursday, 21st November at SCBD, Jakarta.
The exterior design of the SUV suggests bold and dynamic patterns in the parametric form of the front grille, with a sporty look distinctly characteristic of modern SUVs. In this regard, fourth-generation design marries style with functionality, making a style statement on road whilst still being practical for practical purposes.
Inside, it is focused on maximum comfort and convenience. This cabin features the horizontal designed direction with a floating centre console, setting it up for a sleek and modern style while still providing a flexible arrangement for drivers to easily adjust settings. Given its excellent attention towards comfort for both drivers and passengers, Hyundai wanted its cabin to become an inviting space for all its occupants.

Hybrid Power and Efficient Performance
At the heart of the all-new SUV is the highly efficient Smartstream Gasoline 1.6T-GDi Hybrid Engine. This engine produces an impressive 235 PS at 5,500 rpm and 367 Nm of torque at 1,000-4,100 rpm for a powerful yet fuel-efficient performance. Equipped with various driving modes, such as Eco, Normal, and Sport, this SUV allows for the catering of all these drivers’ preferences, thus making it appropriate for city runs as well as long drives. A “Baby” feature is also added for passengers, to ensure comfort during travel with young children, thus increasing family-friendliness of this SUV even further.
Safety Features with Smart Sense
Besides, safety is another key feature in the all-new Hyundai SUV. Equipped with the latest Smart Sense features, the vehicle boasts a rich array of advanced security technologies for crash avoidance and to ensure occupants are kept safe from accidents during their daily drives. These features make the vehicle one of the most reliable choices for those who value security in their mobility.
Color Options and Pricing
The new SUV offers a range of stylish colors including Pine Green Matte, Ultimate Red Metallic, Titan Gray Metallic, Phantom Black Pearl, and Creamy White Pearl. The vehicle is priced from IDR 743 million for 1.6 HEV and IDR 632 million for the 2.0 Gasoline On The Road in DKI Jakarta.
Hyundai has introduced a new SUV that marks a key step in the company’s aim to provide sustainable, high-performance vehicles for Indonesian consumers as part of its effort to expand its hybrid range in Indonesia.
