Honda Launches New Scoopy in Indonesia

PT Astra Honda Motor (AHM) rolls out the new generation Honda Scoopy, which after its first launch in 2010 has gone under a lot of changes since then. This latest model incorporates updated features and design, further cementing its status among Indonesia’s favorite scooters.

A Fresh, Iconic Look

The new Honda Scoopy has been completely transformed with a series of updates both in functionality and aesthetics. The most notable is its advanced LED lighting system, which uses block cryptal technology for both front and rear lights. This makes the scooter look more modern and unique but also provides riders with better visibility on roads at night.

The steering area has also been revamped using a new Digital Meter Panel that is easy to read with a fashionable, memorable feel. The covered handle area makes the bike sleeker and more comfortable to ride on. The scooter is also fitted with a USB Type-C charger for modern users who will always use their mobile devices during their daily commute.

In addition to this, the new Honda Scoopy retains its retro-fitted up-to-date rims and fashionably colorful stickers, thus attracting the fashionable rider. The design tweak maintains the essence of the Scoopy but leaves it looking more outstanding than ever.

AHM President Director Susumu Mitsuishi said: “Honda Scoopy is a favorite skutik model in Indonesia because of the charm it has uniquely or fashionably for those that own skutiks. As since its introduction in 2010, it has changed dramatically; so much so that trends were followed and the need by the community was embraced as well.” The design did not only make the appearance better but also comfortable with utility.

The new Scoopy perfectly matches lifestyle trends in Indonesia today, especially in the youth,” said Executive Vice President Director Thomas Wijaya, who continued, “We hope that the New Honda Scoopy will be used as an expression of the mode of transportation as well.”

Performance and Fuel Efficiency

The New Honda Scoopy is equipped with an enhanced Smart Power technology series, which comes with a 110cc SOHC engine and PGM-FI fuel injection system. It has the capacity to produce 6.6 kW at 7,500 rpm and a maximum torque of 9.2 Nm at 6,000 rpm for a smooth ride. This scooter is well suited for daily usage because it gives a mileage of 59 km per liter.

The engine meets Euro 3 emission standards to keep the environment at a minimum, so it’s ideal for environmentally conscious riders who combine style and sustainability.
