Volkswagen (VW) has formally unveiled the Polo Edition 50, a limited edition car made to honor 50 years of the Polo hatchback car. The Polo has been on sale for over 20 million units worldwide in six generations since its launch in 1975.

Stylish Exterior with Exclusive Touches
The Polo Edition 50 comes with the “Style” equipment package and several exclusive design details. It includes 16-inch Coventry alloy wheels as standard, while 17-inch Torosa wheels are available as an option.
The rear windows are tinted for a sleek look, and a 3D “50” badge is placed on the B-pillar to emphasize its limited-edition status.
Premium Interior Features
Inside, VW adds more unique touches:
- “Edition 50” logo on the front door sills
- “50” badge on the steering wheel trim
- Black dashboard design
It also comes with comfort and tech features like:
- Chrome pedals
- Black headliner
- Ambient lighting
- Rear-view camera
- Multifunction leather steering wheel

Two Engine Options
This special edition Polo offers two engine choices:
- 1.0L 3-cylinder motor that delivered 95 hp and 175 Nm, connected to a 6-speed manual gearbox
- A stronger variant with 116 hp and 200 Nm, connected to a dual-clutch (DSG) automatic transmission

Pricing and Launch
The VW Polo Edition 50 is first available in Germany, starting at €28,200 (around Rp529.9 million). There is no official word yet on whether it will come to the Indonesian market.
