The car is scheduled for launch on Friday, September 20, 2024 at one of the country’s most recognizable shopping centers in Jakarta. The Air EV Lite Long Range can already be added to the current portfolio of the company consisting of the newly launched Lite Standard Range of August 2023. It is well targeted to appeal to a much larger portion of the EV enthusiast sector.
Competitive Pricing with Extended Range
With the inclusion of the Lite Long Range variant, Wuling Motors places four under its Air EV brand: Lite Standard Range, Lite Long Range, Standard Range, and Long Range. The new Lite Long Range variant brings a driving range going up to 300 kilometers far better than what is expected at 200 km for the Lite Standard Range.
The difference in price between two Lite variants is almost negligible since the Long Range costing IDR 190 million On The Road (OTR) Jakarta is only about IDR 10 million more expensive than the Standard Range. ALL of that price has now been readjusted to account for a 10 percent Value Added Tax (VAT) cut, so very reasonable for the divers who would want to climb aboard the electric mobility wagon.
Wuling Motors’ Marketing Operation Director, Liu Yan, said the firm could do everything to address the public’s concerns regarding the cost of EVs and their practicality.

Technical Specifications – What Sets It Apart
The design and features would be the same as in the Lite Standard Range except that, in this new variant, it has a difference in the terms of battery capacity and range. This new variant comes with a Lithium Ferro-Phosphate (LFP) battery, which is certified with IP67 standards, offering resistance to water and dust.
The Lite Long Range has a 26.7 kWh battery, which would cover up to 300 kilometers in range on a single charge. The Lite Standard Range is offered with a 17.3 kWh for up to 200 kilometers in range. This is because of the size difference in its battery that makes the extra 100 kilometers possible for the Lite Long Range.
As maintained by Aji Ibrahim, the product planning manager at Wuling Motors, “The difference between both variants will mainly be related to the battery capacity as well as the range. There will be no differences concerning the exterior, interior, or general features.”
