Suzuki has announced the put out date for the company’s new car, the Suzuki Fronx which will hit the Indonesian market very soon. The news broke via an official post on Suzuki Indonesia’s Instagram account (@suzuki_id) on April 20, 2025. In the post which also served as a teaser, Suzuki displayed the profile of the car’s front design which we are told is that of the Suzuki Fronx. Also seen in the image are the LED lights which along with the distinct three point headlamps, match the global version of the Fronx.

Launch Date and Live Stream Announcement
Suzuki Indonesia confirmed that the launch will take place live on May 28, 2025, at 10:00 AM WIB. The live stream will be available on Suzuki Indonesia’s official YouTube channel. The post also included the words “It’s time for your marvelous moment,” suggesting the brand’s excitement for this highly anticipated moment.
Pre Release Hints and Teasers
Before the official announcement, Suzuki was dropping clues about the Fronx’ arrival in Indonesia. At the 2025 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) Suzuki put out a car frame which we think is that of the Fronx. Also there was a new car identity code A3L415F which showed up on the Jakarta Samsat PKB website. This is thought to belong to the Suzuki Fronx which has a starting price (NJKB) of IDR 166 million.

Suzuki Fronx Dimensions
The Fronx will be in the compact SUV segment with an approximate size of 3,995 mm in length, 1,765 mm wide, and 1,550 mm high. Also these measurements are very much like the Suzuki Baleno Hatchback which is 3,990 mm x 1,745 mm x 1,485 mm. That may indicate that the Fronx’ size is meant for a city car which also does well in urban driving, and will be ideal for city dwellers.
Replacing the Suzuki Ignis
Suzuki Fronx is set to take over for the Suzuki Ignis which we saw go out of production in Indonesia. The Fronx is to go after a similar market and bring in a new player to the compact SUV field. Also reported is that the Fronx may be put together locally in Indonesia which in turn may see Suzuki reduce costs and pass on competitive prices.
Hybrid Vehicle Incentives
What is very exciting is that the Fronx may fall in the range of cars which qualify for hybrid vehicle incentives. This is a trend we have seen with the Suzuki XL7 and the Suzuki Ertiga which have already availed of these incentives. Should this play out the Fronx may just be more afford for the Indonesian buyer and at the same time give them the hybrid technology which is a plus point, thus making it a very attractive choice.
