Hyundai Starts Pre-Booking for All New Tucson in Indonesia

Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) has officially confirmed that it will launch the long-awaited New Hyundai Tucson on Thursday, 21 November 2024 in Jakarta. This is one of the most highly awaited models in the SUV segment, promising to arrive with a blend of cutting-edge technology, bold design, and superior performance, which are expected to set new benchmarks for the Hyundai lineup in Indonesia.

The All New Tucson is here to answer consumer demand in Indonesia with stylish design, advanced tech, and a powerful hybrid engine.

    Fransiscus Soerjopranoto, COO, HMID

What’s special about the New Hyundai Tucson?

Hyundai is famous for combining innovation with style in its production of vehicles, and the All New Hyundai Tucson is no different. Teasers related to a date planned for this week to present the new model have got everyone talking, based on leaked information, which seems to say that this SUV is just the right stuff to meet all the varying needs of the Indonesian consumer.

    Engine Options: Performance Meets Efficiency

Two exciting engine variants from New Hyundai Tucson will be available in the market, catering to the diversity of preferences in today’s life.

G1.6 T-GDi Hybrid Engine This is for those who want a potent but fuel-efficient ride. This variant has a maximum power of 172 kW (235 PS) and torque of 367 Nm, ensuring a balance between performance and fuel economy.

G2.0 MPi Conventional Gasoline Engine: For more spirited drivers who like the sound of a traditional engine, the conventional gasoline engine is a great, hardy alternative.

    Hybrid Technology

A drastic departure from traditional, the Tucson is not only environmentally friendly but powerful and comfortable as well.

    Advanced Features

Just like with all other Hyundai models, the New Tucson is arrived ready with the innovative technology to make driving perfect.

Bluelink Technology: This connectivity feature keeps the driver connected with the vehicle, making sure that they are up-to-date with information on their car’s performance and maintenance schedules.

Smartsense: These safety features ensure utmost security for the driver and passengers. The safety suite incorporated collision avoidance, lane-keeping assist, and sensors to help with all weather conditions.

These technologies make the New Tucson not just a performance powerhouse but rather a tech-savvy SUV designed to help modern drivers.

A Stylish Exterior and Luxurious Interior

The exterior design of the New Tucson boasts a striking look: parametric jewel hidden signature LED lamps, sure to turn eyes on the highway. Sleek, modern design underscores the bold presence of the Tucson within today’s competitive SUV market.

Inside, the vehicle offers luxury and comfort, with a 12.3-inch panoramic curved display that provides all essential driving information at a glance. The cabin is designed for comfort, featuring ventilated seats and 8-way power-adjustable seats to ensure both the driver and passengers enjoy a relaxing ride.

Hyundai’s Second Hybrid Car in Indonesia

With the launch of the New Tucson Hybrid, Hyundai is taking another significant step in promoting environmentally friendly vehicles in Indonesia. The Tucson becomes Hyundai’s second hybrid car in the country after the Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid, launched earlier this year. The introduction of the Tucson Hybrid highlights Hyundai’s commitment to sustainability and eco-friendly transportation options.

The SUV Market in Indonesia: A Growing Trend

SUV is in high demand by the Indonesian people. They require a product that is attractive, spacious, and incorporates latest technological advancement. Being an automaker highly sensitive to market needs, Hyundai has returned to the SUV segment, and the New Tucson came at the right time when SUVs are experiencing positive growth in the country.

Fransiscus Soerjopranoto, Chief Operating Officer of HMID, said, “The SUV-C market in Indonesia is seeing great growth as consumers seek stylish, tech-based comfortably equipped vehicles for themselves. The All New Tucson comes to answer consumer demand in Indonesia.”

    Pre-Booking and Future Prospects

The official launch is scheduled to take place within a few days, but Hyundai has already started taking pre-orders for the Tucson since early November. So, this has already been welcomed in great numbers with interest by actual buyers, meaning strong demand for the vehicle.

The Hyundai Tucson marks Hyundai’s seventh new car model in Indonesia, following other notable models like the Hyundai Ioniq 5 Batik, Creta Alpha, Palisade XRT, and Ioniq 5 N, strengthening Hyundai’s footprint in the Indonesian automotive market.
