Jakarta – PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) is set to make a significant impact at the 2024 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) by unveiling two of its latest electric car models. This move is part of Hyundai’s ongoing commitment to innovation and sustainability in the automotive industry.
HMID will be introducing the All New Kona Electric, a model that has already garnered public attention through several pre-launch events. Additionally, the event will mark the Indonesian debut of Hyundai’s high-performance electric car, the Ioniq 5 N.
New Models at GIIAS 2024
All New Kona Electric
The All New Kona Electric was first introduced in South Korea in 2023 and made its initial appearance in Indonesia at the 2024 Indonesia International Motor Show (IIMS) in February. This electric vehicle (EV) is available in four variants, offering a range of 400 km to 600 km. Prices start at IDR 500 million, with the official price set to be announced at GIIAS 2024.
Hyundai Ioniq 5 N
The Ioniq 5 N is a high-performance electric car designed by Hyundai’s special division, Hyundai N, which focuses on superior technology and innovation. This model embodies the three pillars of Hyundai N DNA: Corner Rascal, Everyday Sports Car, and Race Track Capability.
The Ioniq 5 N is equipped with dual motors, enabling it to produce up to 478 kW (650 ps) of power and a maximum torque of 770 Nm. The car can reach a top speed of 260 km/h and accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.4 seconds. It features an 84 kWh battery, providing a maximum range of 533 km.
