The GAIKINDO Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2024, Indonesia’s largest and most anticipated automotive exhibition, is set to take place from July 18 to 28, 2024. Dates and Venues
GIIAS 2024 kicks off at the Indonesia Convention Exhibition (ICE) in BSD City, Tangerang, from July 18 to 28. Following the Tangerang event, the exhibition will continue in three other major Indonesian cities: Surabaya (August 28 to September 1), Bandung (September 25 to 29), and Semarang (October 23 to 27). Each location will feature unique exhibits and activities, catering to automotive enthusiasts across the country.
Exhibition Facilities
Visitors to GIIAS 2024 will enjoy a host of convenient facilities designed to enhance their experience:
- Shuttle Bus Service: Free shuttle buses will transport attendees from designated parking areas to the exhibition venue. These include locations such as Edutown 2, AEON Mall BSD, The Breeze Mall, and Intermodal Market.
- Dining Areas: With hundreds of food stalls, GIIAS 2024 ensures that visitors can enjoy a wide variety of culinary delights. Dining areas are conveniently located in the outdoor areas of Hall 2 and Hall 6.
- Accessibility Features: Free strollers and wheelchairs are available at Hall 1 and Hall 11 for families with young children or those needing assistance.
- Charging Corners: To keep visitors’ devices powered, multiple charging stations are set up in various halls.
- Worship Area and Nursery Room: Facilities for prayer and childcare are available, ensuring all visitors’ needs are met during the event.
Test Drive and Test Ride Areas
One of the most anticipated features of GIIAS 2024 is the extensive test drive and test ride area. Spanning over two kilometers, this area allows attendees to experience the latest vehicles firsthand. Brands such as Audi, Mercedes Benz, Nissan, BMW, and many others will be present, offering a diverse range of vehicles for testing.
- Test Drive Locations: The test drive areas are spread across several loading docks, including Hall 2 – 3A, Hall 6, 8 & 9, Nusantara Hall, and Hall 11 at ICE, BSD.
- Test Ride Area: The test ride area, located in the outdoor area of Hall 11, features motorcycles from brands like Harley Davidson, Vespa Piaggio, and Royal Enfield.
Two special obstacle courses, the Water Obstacle and Articulation Obstacle, are designed to showcase the capabilities of electric vehicles and off-road performance. These courses will be available at the Loading Dock area of Hall 7.
Safety and Regulations
Safety is a top priority at GIIAS 2024. Visitors interested in the test drive and test ride areas must register with their personal data and present a valid driver’s license. Adherence to safety protocols, including wearing seat belts, helmets, and appropriate attire, is mandatory. The maximum speed limit within the test drive area is 40 km/h.
Event Schedule and Ticket Information
The opening ceremony for GIIAS 2024 is scheduled for July 18, followed by a VIP Day. The general public can visit from July 19 to 28, with daily operating hours from 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM on weekdays and 10:00 AM to 9:00 PM on weekends.

VIP Day (July 18): Online – Rp. 250,000, On-Site – Rp. 300,000
- Regular Tickets (July 19-28):
- Weekdays: Online – Rp. 50,000, On-Site – Rp. 75,000
- Weekends: Online – Rp. 100,000, On-Site – Rp. 125,000
Children under six and seniors over 65 can enter for free.
