The Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2025 will be among the largest car exhibitions in Indonesia, with more than 50 well-known international vehicle companies presenting their new developments. The new brands rollout and the comeback of some long-lost names this year will form a large part of the event.

The Theme of GIIAS 2025
This year, GIIAS will carry the theme “Empowering The Future”, focusing on the future of the sustainable automotive industry. The exhibition will highlight new car technologies, electric vehicles (EVs), and autonomous vehicles, opening doors to a more connected, safe, and environmentally friendly transportation ecosystem.
“Through GIIAS we want to open the greatest possible access to future technology through the introduction of new car technology, electric vehicles, autonomous vehicles,” said Abiyoso Wietono, General Manager Operations and Programs at Seven Event, during the GIIAS press conference and Halal Bihalal event on April 16, 2025, in Jakarta.
What’s New in GIIAS 2025
This year’s show will be special with the participation of a record number of passenger vehicle manufacturers, as well as the launch of seven new auto brands. What is interesting here is that GIIAS 2025 will have the greatest number of car brands in its history.

- More than 55 global brands confirmed
- Among them we have 37 passenger vehicle brands which include the likes of Aion, Aletra, Audi, BAIC, BMW, BYD, Chery, Citroen, Daihatsu, Denza, DFSK, Ford, Geely, GWM, Honda, Hyundai, Jaecoo, Jeep, Jetour, KIA, Lexus, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, MG, MINI, Mitsubishi Motors, Neta, Nissan, Polytron, Seres, Subaru, Suzuki, Toyota, VinFast, Volkswagen, Volvo, and Wuling.
- Also we see 13 motorcycle brands which include Alva, Aprilia, Astra Honda Motor, Exotic, Kupprum, Maka Motors, Moto Guzzi, Pacific, Piaggio, Royal Enfield, Scomadi, U-Winfly and Vespa.

Seven New and Returning Brands
One of the major attractions this year is the seven new brands that will make their debut at GIIAS 2025, along with two returning brands:
- Passenger vehicle brands: Geely, Polytron, Denza, Aletra
- Motorcycle brands: Maka Motors
- Returning brands: Ford, Jeep
“What’s special this year is that we will have seven new brands, both new and returning brands, at GIIAS. These include Geely, Polytron, Denza, Aletra, and for motorcycles, Maka Motors. Ford and Jeep are also returning,” explained Abiyoso Wietono.
High Record of Passenger Vehicle Participation
This year, the show will be a record-breaking number of passenger vehicle brands involved. The quantity of passenger vehicle exhibitors increased by 25% compared to last year’s, from 30 brands in 2024 to 37 confirmed brands this year. The show will have the most comprehensive set of passenger vehicle brands to date, with GIIAS 2025 being the most diverse automotive event to date.
Expanding Beyond Passenger Vehicles
The GIIAS 2025 exhibition will also feature a strong presence from commercial vehicle brands and automotive support industries:
- Commercial vehicle brands: Hino, Isuzu, Mitsubishi Fuso, and UD Trucks
- Bodywork brands: Adiputro, Laksana, Tentrem
- Hundreds of other brands from the automotive support industry will also be present.
Increased Enthusiasm towards GIIAS 2025
The excitement among participants is greater than ever before, with an increasing number of brands willing to demonstrate their innovations at this year’s show. The exhibition space has already been booked, and there are still some brands on the waiting list.
“We are grateful that the enthusiasm of participants towards GIIAS 2025 is very high. Currently, the entire exhibition area has been filled, and there are still several brands on the waiting list,” said Rizwan Alamsyah, Chairman III of Gaikindo.
GIIAS Series in 2025
Apart from the main event in Tangerang, GIIAS 2025 will also visit four major cities across Indonesia as part of the GIIAS The Series 2025:
- GIIAS Surabaya: August 27-31 at Grand City Convex
- GIIAS Semarang: September 24-28 at Muladi Dome
- GIIAS Bandung: October 1-5 at Sudirman Grand Ballroom
- GIIAS Makassar: November 5-9 at Sumarecon Mutiara Makassar (last held in 2019)
