Honda Bikers Day on 19th October 2024 Celebrated at Akkarena Beach, Makassar

Honda Bikers Day 2024 was estimated to have attracted over 3,900 Honda motorcycle enthusiasts, making it the biggest Honda Bikers Day ever in Sulawesi. The event, held at AkKarena Beach on Jalan Metro Tanjung Bunga, exceeded expectations as bikers came from all over the island and beyond to celebrate not only Honda’s passion for motorcycles but also the sense of community and togetherness among its riders.

Weather, Music, and Unity in Sulawesi’s Biggest Biker Event

Great weather could not be asked for under cloudy skies as the celebratory event continued uninterrupted with bikers joining hands under the sun to meet up with fellow enthusiasts and honor Honda’s biking legacy. The event, organized by Astra Motor Sulawesi (Asmo), went full of activities from awesome games to thrilling rides.

The local artists Ridwan Sau and Malucca took the stage and went all out to thrill and energize the thousands present for lively musical performances.

Diverse associations of bikers unite in one stable structure

The people attending were delegates from seven Honda Motorcycle Associations of Sulawesi and the nearby areas, hence it really is a unity celebration. The delegation for the whole event was comprised of enormous delegations from each club to highlight the Honda spirit of camaraderie, and relationship, which HBD has always been identified with. A 150-km adrenaline rush ride starting from the Malino Regency towards the AkKarena Beach allowed bikers to get the best scenic views across Sulawesi’s country-side. It used rural and mountain paths with beautiful sights at spots such as the local tourist Ramang-Ramang, and most of them ride on Honda PCX160, described as powerful, spacious for storage, comfort and reliability along the long journey.

Ahmad Muhibbuddin, General Manager Corporate Communication PT Astra Honda Motor, was impressed by their spirit as bikers in addition to the versatility which the Honda PCX 160 possesses for touring use and for daily use. Mr. Thamsir Sutrisno, head of South Sulawesi Regional Office of Astra Motor, thanked all who participated with the PCX 160, hoping later HBD events will consistently bring Honda lovers together Indonesia-wide.

Activities Supporting Communities and Fun New Experiences

The event also included biking events, and Honda Bikers Day 2024 in Sulawesi supported local Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) so that participants could mingle and support local vendors. Social service activities were also conducted, further integrating the event with the community and leaving a positive impact on the surrounding area.

There was a free test ride on Honda’s new models, which included PCX160 and the stylish Honda Stylo. This way, fans could feel and understand why these scooters were widely popular. The day finished with a lively Bikers Parade, Bikers Ceremony, and games and challenges – long-lasting memories of that historic event.
