PT Mobil Anak Bangsa (MAB), an Indonesian electric vehicle manufacturer, has officially partnered with PT Safast Electric Vehicle Indonesia (SFEV) to produce 9,000 electric mini trucks over the next three years. The agreement was signed during the Periklindo Electric Vehicle Show (PEVS) 2025 at JIExpo Kemayoran on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, by MAB President Director Kelik Irwantono and SFEV Director Tony Wang.

9,000 Electric Mini Trucks in Three Years
The partnership marks a significant milestone for MAB as it enters the mini truck electric vehicle market. According to Kelik Irwantono, MAB is committed to delivering 9,000 electric mini trucks within the next three years, starting production in June 2025.
“We are trusted by PT Safast Electric Vehicle Indonesia to produce 9,000 units in the next three years. We will begin production in June,” said Kelik during the event.

Entering the Electric Mini Truck Market

This partnership is dedicated to the manufacture of electric mini trucks that have applications as box trucks or pickups. These cars are anticipated to fulfill the increased need for electric solutions in logistics and goods hauling industries.
With the introduction of electric mini trucks, MAB becomes an even more established player in the electric vehicle business. Already, the firm has launched electric motorcycles, electric trucks, and electric buses in Indonesia.

Supporting the Government’s Green Initiatives
MAB reports to the Indonesian government’s campaign for reduction of air pollution and promotion of sustainable transport. We have introduced the mini trucks as part of MAB’s larger plan to be at the forefront of development of battery powered electric vehicles in Indonesia.
“We aim to complement our existing product range, such as buses, trucks, and motorcycles, with the introduction of this Mini Truck Electric Vehicle. This will help us support the government’s efforts to reduce air pollution,” said Kelik.
