Irvino Edwardly, who is Sales and Marketing Director at JLM Auto, the official distributor of Harley-Davidson motorcycles in Indonesia, recently commented on the matter, saying that, for now, there is no plan for the introduction of LiveWire variants into the Asian market, including Indonesia.
“It is not yet available for the Asian market. For now, Harley-Davidson is focusing on its core business,” said Edwardly in a statement to the media recently in Jakarta.
He, on the other hand, didn’t rule out the fact that maybe after some time there might be possibility of bringing electric motorcycles to Indonesia. Edward has to bring the LiveWire series to the Indonesian market to offer a wide range of vehicles to Indonesian consumers.
“In the future, if it has to be presented, we welcome it,” he added, opening the possibility for future expansion into the market.
Design and Performance of Electric Motorcycles

LiveWire S2 Del Mar

The level 2 charge system on the motorcycle facilitates fill-up from 20% to 80%, a process that takes around 78 minutes. By retailing for only USD 15,499, it presents a very great opportunity for someone who wants to venture into the electric motorcycle field and have quality, performance, and class.
The capacity of the battery in the S2 Mulholland is shared with the Del Mar, but it increases range slightly to 121 miles (194 km) under similar conditions. However, the charging capacity is the same, and a battery can be taken from 20% to 80% in just 78 minutes by using an L2 charger. The S2 Mulholland is priced at USD 15,999 or Rp 247.2 million, offering a combo of performance, range, and price.
The flagship is the LiveWire One, with its 15.4 kWh battery ensuring a remarkable range, providing even up to 146 miles (234 km) in city rides alone. This particular model supports DC fast charging—meaning you’re able to recharge from 0% to 80% in only 40 minutes. It will, however, be a premium model, being retailed at USD 22,799 (Rp 352.4 million).
The Future of Electric Motorcycles in Indonesia
Although the launch of the LiveWire series is not taking place directly in Indonesia, the chance for these electric motorcycles to be marketed to the country is so vast. The global trend toward electrification follows, with high attributable EV demand in Southeast Asia, including Indonesia.
