    1. Driving Without a License

    • Fine: Up to IDR 1,000,000
    • It’s mandatory to hold a valid driver’s license appropriate for your vehicle type.

    2. Not Wearing a Helmet (Motorbikes)

    • Fine: Up to IDR 250,000
    • All motorbike riders and pillion passengers must wear helmets certified by safety standards.

    3. Driving Without Vehicle Registration (STNK)

    • Fine: Up to IDR 500,000
    • Carrying the vehicle’s registration papers is mandatory while driving or riding.

    4. Running a Red Light

    • Fine: Up to IDR 500,000
    • Drivers and riders must adhere to traffic signals at intersections to avoid accidents.

    5. Speeding

    • Fine: Up to IDR 500,000
    • Exceeding the set speed limits can lead to severe penalties and even confiscation of your vehicle.

    6. Drunk Driving

    • Fine: Up to IDR 10,000,000 or up to 1 year in prison
    • Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is one of the most heavily fined offenses in Indonesia.

    7. Not Using Seat Belts

    • Fine: Up to IDR 250,000
    • Both the driver and front-seat passengers must wear seat belts.

    8. Using a Mobile Phone While Driving

    • Fine: Up to IDR 750,000
