Car accident scene in Jakarta with damaged vehicles on the road

In Indonesia, there are numbers of highways where lots of traffic crosses in a day as they are the medium to reach your destination within time or on time. But, it also causes numbers of accidental fatalities due to wrong driving skills. Have you thought that what may be the reasons that are responsible for these accidental fatalities in Indonesia?

Let’s discuss the types of collisions that are more common on Indonesian highways as well as on city roads. It will help you to find the solution to avoid them. As a car owner of Indonesia, you should know the moments that may be fatal for you if you drive your vehicle in the wrong way.

    Rear-End Collision

It may happen in two ways-

    1. Either you involve yourself in some other work while driving your car
    2. Or your front car driver applies instant brakes

When you increase the volume of your infotainment system then it distracts your concentration and you leave the control on your car paddles and you collide with the car that is in front of your car. It may be possible that you press too much accelerator and your car goes out of your control and may collide with the next car.  All the errors occur when you involve yourself in any other activity in your car.

    • How to Avoid Them
Be Focused- Remain focused while driving your car. Avoid receiving the cell phone and talking to the passengers. Slow up the level of music system which also distracts other vehicles.

    Front Impact Collision

It happens when you drive your car at high speed and it becomes uncontrollable. In this situation, it can be possible that you may lose your control on your car on any sharp turn and your car may collide to any tree or any vehicle that is coming from the other side.

Front Impact Collisions can be happed when overtaking without any assumption and you may collide your car to the vehicle that is coming from the opposite side.

    • How To Avoid Them
Maintain a controlled speed- Drive your car under a controllable speed that can be handled easily in an emergency.

Avoid Overtaking- While you overtake the other vehicle then you have the full assumption that in how much time you can overtake the front vehicle to avoid front Impact Collision from the upcoming vehicle. Overtake when it is necessary and be alert to calculate the estimated time of the vehicle that is coming from the other side so that you can cross your front vehicle before any collision.

    Hydroplaning Collisions

It happens in the rainy season when your car loses to grip the road surface. It happens due to old tires that are not changed due to carelessness and avoiding timely service.

    • How To Avoid Them
Always drive your car with new and maintained tires as you do not know what will happen next in your journey. It may be possible that you met with the strong rain and you have to drive in the rain to reach your destination on time. So, keep timely service of your car which will help you to know the actual condition of your car that is it ready to drive or not?

    Side Impact Collisions

These types of collisions happen when you want to merge your car between the other cars. It can also happen if you are not an expert in parking your car. It may be possible that you collide your car with any parking wall or pillar while turning your car.

    • How To Avoid Them
Be an expert in-car driving skills and know-how many turns you have to take to park your car in the parking. Secondly, know the techniques to merge your car between the vehicles if needed. Actually, the smart car handlers rarely try the merging of their car as it is out of traffic rule because you are breaking the flow of traffic while merging your vehicle.

    Wild Life Collision

It happens suddenly especially at night because sometimes wild animals come out to roam on the highways and collide with high-speed vehicles. It creates fatal accidents and is the main cause of accidentals deaths at night.

The reason is quite familiar as at night highways remain blank for long distances which results in the high speed of your vehicle and you collide your car with the animals as you are not able to control your vehicle at that high speed.

    • How To Avoid Them
Keep your vehicle speed in the range so that you can control your car in an emergency. As you do not know that from where the animals can jump on the road and may collide with your car. If, by chance, you see that the animals are crossing the highway than wait to cross them and keep your speed low as it may be possible that you may meet some other animals that are hidden behind the bushes.
